The Internet as a Gigantic Guitar Resource
As a guitarist, I’m often amazed at the amount of information available both in tactile and virtual format.
Take for instance the standard guitar tuner. There are literally hundreds of different stand alone, rack mount, or embedded models. And for the most part, they work fairly well.
But now comes the internet.
What once might have taken days or weeks to find a resource on now only takes a few clicks at the most.
To me this is great. I even found an online guitar tuner where all I had to do was listen for a tone and tune my guitar to it.
If you’re a guitar player, you know how important it is to play in tune.
There are few things more embarrassing, other than playing the wrong notes, than playing out-of- tune notes.
With the internet and its endless amount of resources, the guitar has not been left behind.
Online guitar lessons are a big business and learning over the internet has never been easier.
For example, I wanted to learn this cool tune the other day but couldn’t for the life of me figure it out.
That was until I found a website with a tutorial explaining the alternate tuning the song was written in.
After listening to the online guitar tuner, I was good to go.
