There is no denying the fact that the triumph of a business in the end is thanks to the dedicated work of the personnel, but one incident can promptly wipe out your efforts and bring down the profits to dust. So, to evade such an occurrence, you should insure your organisation, whether it’s a small business or a large corporation. Nevertheless, please bear in mind that smaller companies are significantly more likely to require business insurance cover in today’s hard world. This is essentially as smaller organisation owners will have put their whole lives and pay into the organisation.
A handful of the topics usually covered by the majority of business insurance covers include: natural disasters, volcanoes, machine or equipment defect that closes the company, loss of income down to personnel error & court cases brought against the firm.
There are a large number of insurance companies, which have policy covers that include protection for all important property & legal risks in one package. You can also acquire a separate cover. Such a policy cover is usually nicknamed as a business owners’ policy (BOP). Bigger businesses may acquire a business cover.
BOPs incorporate office insurance for buildings & tools belonging to the business. If there is any loss of revenue caused by disruption of operation and production because of catastrophes like landslides, it can be covered under the Business Interruption policy.
There are a choice of liabilities, which insure the businesses legal duty for the injury it may well inflict to others. It is the effect your businesses failure to do the business operations. It can also be the actual injury or property damage caused due to flawed products, faulty installations and errors in services provided.
Nonetheless, BOPs do not protect against professional liability, car cover, staff compensation or health and disability cover. Instead separate policies are crucial for professional services, motor vehicles & staff. More often than not, floods, earthquakes and terrorist attacks are not covered in the business insurance. Please double check before you acquire a policy! If you want a professional indemnity insurance quote then visit this site today.

Last year consumers in the United States purchased more than 100 million new cell phones. Not only was this an increase over the previous year, it brought the total number of cell phone users in the U.S. to more than 180 million.
You might not think cell phone waste is a big problem since the average cell phone today weighs less than 6 ounces. However, since more than one-half of all Americans now own cell phones, isn’t it time we take a look at what happens to our old cell phone when we upgrade, change or cancel our service. According to Inform Inc, a non-profit institute which keeps tabs on such numbers, there are more than 500 million old cell phones sitting unused in drawers, closets and desks around the country. All of these contain chemicals and substances which are harmful to the environment if improperly disposed of.
U.S. consumers replace between 100 million and 130 million cell phones each year. Unfortunately, the cell phone recycling industry processes less than 10 million of these. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if there are already 500 million old cell phones and we add between 90 million and 120 million to this number each year - pretty soon we have a big problem!
This brings us back to our initial question… Where do all the old cell phones go? As I mentioned a short time ago, within the wireless industry there is a segment which takes these old cell phones and does one of several things with them.
• Some are sold for use in other countries
• Some are donated to shelters for use in a variety of emergency (911) phone programs
• Some are repaired or refurbished and sold in the U.S. either as replacement or pre-paid phones
• Finally, others are broken down to the essential elements and recycled
The bottom line is that U.S. consumers replace their cell phones approximately every 18 months which allows them to take advantage of the newest technology and features. In most cases the cell phone being replaced still works fine and has a lot of useful life left in it. Just because we are through using it does not mean it has suddenly become junk.
We all need to be responsible stewards of our planet’s resources and make sure that when we get a new cell phone we find a home for our old cell phone. In most instances your carrier will offer you a recycling option, but if not… there are plenty of places on the internet to sell your phone, donate it to charity, or simply send it in at no cost for recycling.
James Mosieur is CEO of RMS Communications Group, Inc. RMS operates several cell phone recycling websites like http://www.CellForCash.com . He has been in the electronics recycling business since 1985. James writes and speaks on cell phone recycling and related subjects particularly as they relate to the individual consumer.

While planning for your wireless network you might be asking what is the difference between a router and an access point. You need to think of a router as more of a server because it performs many functions like a server. An access point only provides a portal for wireless client to connect to your existing LAN.
Routers can perform many functions. Routers can connect many different WLANs together acting like a traffic cop. Routers also act as a DHCP server. A DHCP server assigns dynamic IP address to your computer every time your computer starts up. If you don’t have a DHCP server then you will have to assign each computer on your network a permanent IP address.
As I have said before your router can also act like a traffic cop. You can use a router to perform port forwarding to certain computers on your LAN. For example you can direct all internet traffic looking for your game server’s port number to a specific computer on your LAN.
The ability to connect multiple computers to the internet is one of the main features of a router. The router is assigned one WAN IP address from your ISP. This IP address is called a public IP address that everyone on the internet can see. Because you have multiple computers connected to your router the router uses a protocol called NAT {Network address translation} NAT will assign the computers that are behind your routers IP address, private IP addresses. NAT acts as a firewall because computers on the internet cannot in theory even see your computers. They will only see the IP address of your router. NAT does block traffic from reaching your computers but it will not block Trojans from going out to the internet. That is why I do recommend installing a firewall on your LAN computers.
The role of an access point on a LAN is to give the wireless user a door way to enter. The more people that enter the door at the same time the slower they will go. 802.11b access points say they will give you a through put rate of 11mps but the actual rate is around 5MPS. 802.11g has a rating of 54mbps with an actual through put of 20mbps. The access points do have most of the same security features as a router such as WEP, WPA, 8021x and TKPI but they will not have the traffic cop functions like a router. Also the access points will not have NAT which would add an unnecessary layer to your network. To keep it simple access points just simulate plugging in your laptop to a port in the wall and that’s it.A router is used on the border of you network to act as a traffic cop deciding who can come in and blocking those you want to keep out.

Did you know that its really possible to obtain a mobile completely cost free withfree line rental? What that means is that you can get a free cell phone handset with free inclusive text messages and free inclusive minutes without paying a penny for them!Right about now your wondering if this is a trick, but this is for real! The trick is to beat mobile phone stores at their own game. Understand this, phone companies advertise free line rental deals simply to get prosepective customers through the door. They then attach loads of strings to the deals to lower the numbers of customers that take out and correctly obtain a free line rental mobile phone promotion.free line rental offers operate as long as buyers sign a mobile contract in the normal manner, and and continue to pay the bill as usual. Then, at pre determined intervals within the first 12 months of the mobile contract you can to claim cash back. At this point the shop who sold you the cell phone will send you a cheque. Normally three separate claims need to be made before you recover the total cost of your mobile. Now, the retailers make the process a bit awkward, as they ask you produce phone bills (which may be lost). They may also dictate certain days for the claim to be made (which you may not remember) and impose various other tricks and barriers. This is why you must be on the ball and beat them at their own game!Read the contract fully, put all dates in your diary, keep the paperwork and make your claim punctual and you have every chance of gettinga mobile phone cost free for 12 months! The simple fact is that stores don’t care about giving away a few of these handsets for free as it makes for a a good promotion for them. Being in a position to promote “free cellular phones” heightens the profile of their shop, and, as they recognize only a few customers are likely to get through all the pitfalls necessary to acquire a 12 month free line rental deal, it does not really cost them that much!A free line rental mobile promotion may not be the best choice for you as you must be organised and be sure you properly finish all the tasks of your claim properly, but, a 12 months free line rental deal is for sure something worthy of consideration if you are cost aware.

It has been anticipated that the European largest 690 snowboarding towns may be decreased to 405 by 2049. Licia Toscano announced that ski resorts will notice the pain ahead of that date, not because of a want of snowfall but due to a general shrinkage in purchasing power tied in with the rising price of crude oil. So what about rising temperatures? Experts have showed that a doubling up of CO2 levels will raise floor temperatures by 5 - 7 degrees. All the same there are still two open doubts. The acceleration of climate change and the consequences on local climate. Several degrees Celsius warming in the last 100 yrs hasn’t been seen over the last one million yrs. Even during the end of the ice age 17000 years ago the increase of 3 Celsius was during a period of seven to 10 thousand yrs. Before that Val Thorens and Les Contamines-Montjoie were covered with ice and Courchevel would have been the same as the Arctic.
Thus what what does the future bring for mid height ski fields domains? Oil troubles will begin to be felt by 2015 to 20, resulting in increased costs for ski accommodation, airport taxi businesses and ski lift companies alike - so it may well be the end of weekend ski deals. One half of the economic output hinges upon crude oil and the French imports 80 %. The present amount amounts to three % of gross domestic product. However if the cost of crude oil increases as anticipated it’ll represent 39 percent of gross domestic product, you can imagine the economic downturn. The European Alps will see the cost of agrarian commodities increasing, plant species will shift due to a modification in rainfall. People will leave the locale due to the summer months stifling heat. Hydro power will be a invaluable resource however it’s not obvious whether it will be a bonus given that there will be much less snow, more water in the winters and much less in the summer.

Having used desktop computers and notebook computers that had been officially supplied by the company where I was employed, there was no need to worry about what type of notebook computer or whatever configuration that was required in my work.
So when I finally had to purchase my own notebook computer for personal private use, I found myself facing a myraid of questions. Just what should I look out for when buying my own notebook computer?
First, I found I had to quantify my own needs for a notebook computer. Having quantified my needs, which was to do a lot of number crunching and to perform technical analysis and charting of stock prices online, I found that even low priced models could perform work that was demanded by my needs.
I was pleasantly surprised that my needs did not demand a high priced model.
Secondly, the notebook computer I required would need to be sufficiently light. In the process of identifying the notebook computer, I decided I did not need a subnotebook, as most notebook computers weigh between 5 to 7 kg, with a subnotebook weighing at 5 kg or less.
The standard notebook computer was sufficient for my needs coming with some wordprocessing software that was already installed as part of the package that comes with the computer and with Internet access capabilities. All I need was to install my specialized technical analysis program to monitor the stock prices.
At the same time, advances in notebook computer technology ensured that I had wireless technology and can hook up online at any hotspot outlet. This would allow me to have mobile wireless access anywhere I go. I could also use a pen drivefor additional mobile storage.
Finally, I also decided that I really do not need to use the provided upgrade functionality for the notebook, perferring to use the notebook for a period of two years at most. This was because I discovered parts and accessories were expensive, and going the way of upgrades to be expensive. Changing to a new model completely after two years appear to be a better proposition in terms of more power, functionality and cost savings.
Having made these decisions, the next step was to go online for a price comparison. Shopping online allowed me the convenience of researching each one of the notebook computer that caught my attention, without feeling pressured to make a quick decision.
There were some sites that allowed the added convenience of comparing different models side by side, and doing so was very useful in helping me to make my final decision on the notebook computer.
If you are faced with the task of purchasing your own notebook computer, the considerations which I have mentioned above will help you in your initial selection in making a wise decision.

Used laptop computers are everywhere these days. How can you sift through the mass of available used laptop computers to narrow your search down to the right laptop for you? This is the third part of a series of articles designed to give you a few suggestions for your next purchase.
Test the Keyboard and Built-in Mouse
When you get an operating system up and running, open a text file like notepad and start typing on the keyboard. How do the keys feel? If they are sticking, this may indicate coffee or another liquid having been dropped on the computer. A definite red flag.
Is the built-in mouse functioning properly? If it isn’t, understand that this could seriously hamper the portability of the laptop. Using an external mouse when you are on the go can be very inconvenient.
Laptop Battery: Don’t expect much
Laptop batteries generally don’t maintain a full charge for more than a year or two at most. The manufacture date of the laptop is often found on its underside. If the manufacture date is more than two years and it has an original battery, consider yourself lucky with any battery life you get. Most used computer dealers will not give you any warranty for the battery. An extra battery is always a wise purchase when buying a used laptop. Consider asking the dealer what it would cost to get another one.
Laptop multimedia: Testing the sound and video.
Sound and video are both things that are important to some people and not to others. If you see yourself listening to music using the laptop speakers, try to play some music on them to see how they sound. You may want to cart a music CD with you along with your Knoppix CD. Have realistic expectations though. Laptop speakers rarely sound full. They usually have a tinny sound with lots of treble and little bass.
If you plan on watching movies on the laptop, you may want to consider choosing a used laptop computer with a DVD-ROM drive in it. If that is important to you, I would suggest you carry a DVD movie with you to evaluate how well the laptop plays back video. If it pauses and labors with the DVD, you may want to consider another laptop.
Stay tuned for our fourth and final article on tips you should follow when purchasing a used laptop computer.
